Yes. New Jersey law requires a prescription or order from a licensed physician for diagnostic imaging including MRI, CT, and ultrasound. The prescription can come from any licensed provider — primary care, urgent care, specialist, chiropractor, or physical therapist. You're not required to use a specific referral network. Bring your written prescription to your appointment.
Most patients are scheduled within 1–3 business days of booking. Walk-ins are also welcomed during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm), though appointments are recommended for scheduling certainty. To book the soonest available slot, schedule online or call (551) 353-9911.
Jersey City Imaging Center accepts all major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our billing team verifies your coverage and confirms your specific co-pay or coinsurance before your appointment so you know exactly what you'll owe.
Reports are completed by radiologists and delivered to you and your referring physician within 2–3 business days. We can send results to any provider you choose.
