How Booking Works

Booking your scan at Jersey City Imaging Center is a 4 step process designed to be simple, fast, and secure. Here is what happens after you submit the form below.

  • Step 1. Fill out the booking form

    Tell us which scan your doctor ordered, the body part being scanned, your contact information, and your preferred appointment time. The form takes about 2 minutes to complete.

  • Step 2. Receive an email confirmation

    As soon as you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email. This email includes a secure link to upload your insurance information.

  • Step 3. Upload your insurance information

    Click the link in your confirmation email and upload a photo of the front and back of your insurance card. This step takes less than a minute. If you are paying out of pocket, you can skip this step and our team will follow up with a self-pay quote.

  • Step 4. Get scheduled

    Once we verify your insurance and confirm your prescription, our team will call you to schedule your appointment. Same-day appointments are often available depending on the modality and time of booking.

Your insurance information is stored securely. We do not share your details with anyone except your insurance provider for verification purposes.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

When you arrive at Jersey City Imaging Center for your scan, please bring: 

Your written prescription from your physician (any licensed provider is accepted)

A valid photo ID

Your insurance card, if you have one

A list of current medications, if relevant to your scan

Any prior imaging or related medical records, if available

If you have not yet uploaded your insurance information through the link in your confirmation email, please do so before your appointment to avoid delays at check-in. 

If you are coming for an MRI, please leave metal items at home or be prepared to remove them. This includes jewelry, watches, hairpins, and anything magnetic. Our team will guide you through this at check-in. 

Walk-Ins Welcome

If you have a prescription and prefer to walk in rather than book online, Jersey City Imaging Center accepts walk-in patients during our regular hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Appointments are still recommended to guarantee your preferred time, but we do our best to accommodate walk-ins as scheduling allows.

Yes. New Jersey law requires a prescription from a licensed physician for diagnostic imaging, including MRI, CT, and ultrasound. You can book your appointment first and bring or upload your prescription before your scan. The prescription can come from any licensed provider, including your primary care doctor, urgent care, specialist, chiropractor, or physical therapist.

Jersey City Imaging Center accepts all major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. After you submit your booking request, you will receive an email with a secure link to upload your insurance information. Our team verifies your specific coverage before confirming your appointment.

We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer your appointment slot to another patient who may be waiting. To cancel or reschedule, call us at (551) 353-9911 or reply to your confirmation email.

Yes. If you are booking for a family member, parent, or someone in your care, you can fill out the form on their behalf. Just enter the patient's information in the form fields. We will reach out to confirm details before scheduling.
